Two years on Newgrounds. And man, what a ride it's been.
First of all, I just reached 4^4 fans. Sadly this is going to be the last x^x fan count for a while (I'm not holding my breath until 3,125), but I'd like to take this opportunity to say thank you to everyone who has been supporting me, whether you just followed me today or you were here within my first week on the site. The positivity and support has been unbelievable and I wouldn't be here without all of you.
Second of all, I'm finally finding my place in this community and elsewhere. I joined the NGUAC last summer and it was an incredible experience; I ended up coming in 5th overall and met a bunch of awesome musicians who I still talk with almost every day. From there, I joined a weekly music competition hosted by @johnfn called Chips Compo ( https://chipscompo.com/feed ), which has been immeasuably helpful in getting me to improve, try new things, and meet new people.
Finally, as of last week, I am a professional. That's right— I just took my first paid music job, a real one with a contract and everything. I'm writing the soundtrack to a sort-of visual novel to be released next month on Steam; I can't disclose anything else right now but I'll be sure to advertise the hell out of it when it does actually come out. Unfortunately, this means that all personal projects will be coming to a grinding halt until this is done.
Here's to another amazing year.

Congrats on your two-year NG-versary, Miyo! Sounds like 2018 is being good to you thus far, as well. Gotta love those secretive black hole projects, am I right? Looking forward to hearing more about it soon.
